Mental Health Awareness Week 2024
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week - and if you've been following me for a while you will know that I've had my fair share of my own struggles in this arena, and they were at their worst about ten years ago now.
I was a newish business owner back then, and quite frankly had no clue what I was doing, an all or nothing mentality and an unhealthy obsession that lead to crippling anxiety and a massive burnout.
In the coaching work I do now with founders and business owners, I see mental health struggles day in and day out. Lack of sleep, financial worries, pressure of payroll, employee issues, loneliness are some of the common themes I hear most days and can contribute to anxiety, depression and burnout if not managed.
Whilst these worries aren't unique to business owners, the pressure of running your own show can be all consuming, and is I believe a unique experience.
Over the course of this week I want to delve into some of these themes and offer up some tools and techniques I share with my clients to create more space, structure and less stress in their businesses.
Here's a pic of me at West Witterings beach - my go to for an after work destress.
