Stop Hoping, Start Coaching

This was a conversation I had with a client yesterday.
My client, a successful business owner was becoming increasingly frustrated with his team. From his perspective they were spending too much time on their phones, not enough time speaking to clients and certainly not hitting sales targets.
He was feeling stressed, overwhelmed and seriously considering throwing in the towel and just doing it solo. He figured he would earn more money and have a hell of a lot less stress.
I totally get it. Been there myself.
However, when we dug a little bit deeper some things became clear.
The team had zero process around how to win or grow business. They didn't have a plan for their accounts. Didn't understand what good looked like and certainly didn't know how to be independent. If they messed up or didn't hit target - its ok, their boss would do it for them and they would probably get a bonus anyway.
He was leaving his teams performance to chance and just hoping they would get it.

We are working together over the coming months to work this through. To create clarity, sales processes and giving him the tools to really coach his team.
